Eco team are pleased that next Jaunary we are taking part in RSPB Big Bird Watch 2017. Please if you can, join in the biger the better.
This year our school are taking part in the RHS Christmas Card Design. This is where we create a christmas card which had a theme of christmas and gardening. This also leads up to our RSPB Big Bird watch 2017. Thank you to everyone for entering the competition. Also make sure to keep up to date and comment on our posts.
Tree cutters came to our school and cut down the trees in our wildlife area. The school were happy becauese we are now able to tidy our wildlife area.
We were lucky enough to have a assembly on waste. Durham County Council came in and reminded us how to recycle in the correct way and what happens with the rubbish once it had be collected.
Facts: 1 can could power a TV for 4 hours 25x 2 litre bottles can make a fleece Eco team set out to try and rebuild the Christmas tree. We were all very unhappy at our last attempt but this time Eco team were all very happy and victorious.
This week Eco team tried to make our recycle Christmas tree but unfortunately things did not go to plan. But Eco team are going to carry on and finish our recycled Christmas Tree.
This is what our attempted looked like. We are going to try this again soon and hopefully we will do better this time! As switch of fortnight was coming to an end, we decided to do another assembly on it. We watched a little clip on switch of fortnight. It reminded us on what to switch off and how to save money at home and school.
Eco team started on their recycled egg-box Christmas Tree. After asking everyone to bring in egg boxes, we finally got to work painting them. In assembly we mentioned it to everyone again that we would like to have some recycled Christmas decorations. Some of them were:
